Meet Dr. Augusto Ross
Dr. Jose Augusto Ross, MD, FCAP, FASCP, is a board‑certified anatomic and clinical pathologist licensed in Florida (ME 70208) with more than 35 years of experience in hospital and reference‑laboratory leadership. After earning his medical degree from the Federal University of Paraná in 1982 and completing pathology training at Boston Children’s Hospital and Northwestern Memorial/McGaw Medical Center, he directed blood‑bank, cytopathology and clinical services across Illinois and Kentucky—including Medical Director of Quest Diagnostics in Lexington—before relocating to Florida in 2006. Since 2013 he has served as Pathologist and Medical Director of Bayshore Pathology in Port Charlotte, overseeing surgical, cytology and molecular diagnostics for ShorePoint Health and regional practices. A Fellow of the College of American Pathologists and the American Society for Clinical Pathology, Dr. Ross remains committed to delivering precise, clinically actionable results that elevate patient care throughout Southwest Florida.
